RECORDING NEW CD IN BARCELONA - 2010-01-27

Well whats going on people! It's been a while since the site has had a fresh update, but we do have some news worth talking about...
We are currently recording a new album in Barcelona, Spain. We are roughly half way through the process and its been a good stay thus far with lots of musical creativity, harnessing loads of styles and mixing it all in. This and of course getting to look round the world famous city of Barcelona and check out some cool sites.
We will be returning back to the UK on 15th Feb 2010 to promote the new CD and play some shows, cus this is what we enjoy the most.

Upon return we have 2 upcoming dates with Finley Quaye. 19th Feb @ Cox's Yard and 28th Feb @ Baby Blue. This will be our second time round playing with Finley and we hope it will be as much fun as last time. To order tickets click on the dates.

DRUMS RECORDED FOR 2 NEW SONGS - 2009-10-21

We recently sent the guide tracks to 2 New songs out to Barcelona for Fred so he could record the drums down. We've recieved the tracks back and are now laying down guitar, bass, keys, percussion and trombone. Hopefully the tracks will be ready at the end of November ...ish.

Fred will also be back with us in the next 2 weeks, so back to hittin the gigs again.

ACS SUPPORTING SLIGHTLY STOOPID - 2009-09-20

2009-10-05 - We had a great time last night playing with Slightly Stoopid! Awesome guys and the performance was as amazing as ever.

Great news for ACS! We are supporting Slightly Stoopid on 4th October 2009. We are so chuffed about this being that these guys are one of our favourite bands and big influences to us.

WELCOME TO THE NEW ACS SITE - 2009-09-15

Hello! Welcome!

This is the new ACS ( A Certain Shade ) page. We decided that it was about time for a makeover as a lot of things have changed with the band and the old page just didn't cut the mustard. Changes over the last year are: New members, new tracks... same style but with a new twist, due to changes with the members. For those who don't know we are comprised of 6 people. Alex Mercer, Luke Bayliss, Fred McArdle, Alex Hine, Oli Stewart, Sam Bigland.

We are currently recording some new tracks... and of course writing others too. Over the duration of the next month you should be able to find info and pictures on the recording process up on here.
